Covid-19 - Coaching Update

Whilst competitive Cricket has been paused for the time being. There has been some tentative steps to try and resume to some form of normality in the cricketing world. This has come in the form of being able to play cricket with just one other person at any given time, as long as social distancing and correct procedures are maintained.

Many Cricket Clubs are currently preparing their grounds to welcome back their members again to use the nets and other practice facilities. With the begging question from our perspective, can coaches resume some form of coaching work again? The answer to this is, yes! The latest guidance issued by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on the back of the Governments announcements, allows 1-2-1 coaching only if guidance is adhered to. An abstract from the latest Government guidance for personal trainers and coaches on the phased return of sport and recreation in England states: If you are a personal trainer/coach you can now work with clients outdoors, providing you are alone and only meeting with one person from outside of your household, outdoors, and you are staying a minimum of two metres apart. You can meet with different clients in a single day as long as it is only via one-to-one sessions and you are maintaining social distancing.”

This is great news for us at Fylde Coast Cricket Coaching. We can now open up our 1-2-1 coaching side of the business with immediate effect and encourage anyone interested in this service to get in touch!

However, if you are still isolating and stuck at home. Why not try this bowling drill from our coach Danny Gilbert!
