WHAT IS FYLDE COAST CRICKET CUBS AND WHY HAS IT BEEN CREATED?
Fylde Coast Cricket Cubs (FCC CUBS), has been created to provide your little cubs (3 - 6 Years) with a fantastic opportunity to experience cricket in a safe and nurturing environment whilst getting active, learning and developing new skills but most importantly, having FUN!!
As someone who is passionate about the game and who has young children, there simply isn't anything that catered for this age group in our local area. This meaning for them to experience cricket for the first time, outside of perhaps the garden or the front room in my boy's case, they would have to be at least 5 years old and in some cases older than that. We felt this was a missed opportunity in their overall development and we wanted to provide children this age an opportunity to access and experience cricket's many benefits such as; learning to be part of a team, making new friends and development of important social and gross motor skills.
WHO IS IT FOR?
It is for children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. We have split the age groups up into three to ensure suitability and progression:
THE LITTLE CUBS (3.5 - 4.5 Years)
THE BIG CUBS (4.5 - 6 Years)
WHEN & WHERE WILL THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
They shall be run from a range of venues year round across the Fylde Coast with more details of timings, dates and the venues themselves announced shortly!
WHO IS RUNNING THE SESSIONS?
Our experienced team of coaches, who are fully trained, DBS checked, first aid and safeguarded are there to ensure an enjoyable experience is had by all.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?
Sessions shall last approximately 40 minutes, with time to play and settle in. We are also including a 'Cubs Zone' where they can at any point, take a break, play with some toys, read a book or perhaps some drawings which adds to the FCC CUBS experience!
DO MY LITTLE ONES GET ANYTHING FOR SIGNING UP?
We are currently in the process of finalising the final details. However, we can confirm each 'Cub' that signs up shall receive their very own 'Trail Book', where they can collect stamps at every session they attend!
